Brittany Mortimer, Founder

Brittany Mortimer, the founder of Mortimer Law, specializes in employment law. She began her career in litigation, defending employers in lawsuits ranging from wage and hour disputes to discrimination allegations. She also defends employers before state and federal government agencies, including the Department of Labor, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Brittany has represented public and private employers, and her clients have ranged from small start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.
Armed with her litigation experience, Brittany advises employers on best practices and compliance with employment and data privacy laws. Her goal is to prevent and mitigate disputes, helping employers avoid the courtroom in the first place. Her consulting practice guides clients in handling employment disputes, as well as developing and maintaining consistent, compliant processes and documents.
Brittany Mortimer is licensed to practice law in Texas and Michigan. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), and her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center.
